LAUGHTER IS THE MUSIC OF LIFE
PROVERB:
'A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.' LAUGHTER IS THE MUSIC OF LIFE
'TALK TO LEARN' KEEPS YOU IN CONTACT WITH THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. FOR FORMER STUDENTS WHO HAVE PASSED ADVANCED LEVEL AT THE EOI AND HAVE NO OTHER WAY TO CONTINUE PRACTISING THEIR ENGLISH OR FOR STUDENTS WHO LEFT SCHOOL IN THEIR LAST YEAR AND ARE NOT STUDYING ENGLISH AT THE MOMENT.
The results of the research we have read this week are so interesting and curious, because the text shows many things we can think but we don’t share in a daily chat.
ReplyDeleteI agree with most of conclusions from Matthew Killingsworth (Mateo Matanzavaliosa o Valía Agotadora). For instance, when he assures that our mind is a wandering mind because we need to train us in order to avoid a lack of concentration. In fact, we are educated at school in this way, becoming a problematic student who is not able to concentrate on doing anything.
I also agree the idea of happiness is found by living in the now. This is because we can waste a lot of our time thinking or dreaming a imaginary situation. It makes us not to have time to feel or be happy with what we are doing in that moment.
However, I disagree with the sample of volunteers the have taken in the research because I believe they haven’t consulted children or the elderly about that matter. It becomes the research a partial study.
In conclusion, the psychological research has several interesting ideas about happiness and what we should do to get closer to it. So, after reading the text, we can decide where we want to focus on our concentration if we wish to be happier.
