WHAT MAKES PEOPLE HAPPY
I thought this video was interesting. People all over the world were asked what were the things that make them truly happy? It’s a business piece, but yet speaks to our values and how consumerism is taking over:
AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO:
Make a list of the things that make you happy and random them from more to less important for you. You can include the things mentioned in the video and add new ones.
One of the comments to this video says like this:
“What makes people happy?”…having their needs met. This comes with having a job that pays all your bills and leaves you with a little extra. Yet the only ones getting it are business owners who take a huge profit and pay little more than enough to all their employees to make it just above legal slavery. Perhaps more people would be happier and more money would circulate, strengthening the economy if bosses would have less swimming pools and yachts and pay better wages. Then the rest of us could relax, quit eating mac and cheese every night, and “be happy” too.
