After reading this text I can’t help a pessimistic feeling about future and then I start to think how human beings have fought time after time each other trying to be more powerful. Maybe power is the key and, as animals, people’s objective in this life is to be stronger than the rest if they can. To get this they are able to use whatever you can imagine, especially violence, sex, corruption, etc.
ReplyDeleteTalking about energy and resources, I am more scared of emergent countries as China or India than USA because at least in this one there is a democratic government, maybe it is not perfect, but there is not a dictator in charge. I do not want to imagine what would happen if someone like Hitler will become president of China in command of nuclear weapons and more than a thousand millions of citizens with no freedom to decide or opine about to go to a war.
Well I suppose I would have to be hopeful and think, in spite of everything, humanity will become better every day and will be able to take right decisions about critical issues as energy dependence.
