SESSION 6: FINAL TASK
WRITE A COMPOSITION OF NOT MORE THAN 180 WORDS AND LEAVE IT IN THE BLOG AS A COMMENT TO SESSION 6. I WILL EDIT IT IN THE BLOG SO THAT EVERYBODY CAN LEARN FROM OTHER PEOPLE´S OPINIONS.
- Write a letter to Barack Obama congratulating him for this Prize.
- Write a letter to the Nobel Committee expressing your opinion about awarding Barack Obama with the Nobel Peace Prize.
Dear Mr. President Barack Obama,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I would like to congratulate you on winning the Nobel Peace Prize. I know that it has been a real surprise for you and you might feel that it is an undeserved recognition because you must think what things you have done to deserve it.
Although, despite your political opponents, you are not responsible for obtaining this honour because it has been The Nobel Committee who has decided to award to you. They have argued its decision saying that “your extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples” and for creating “a new international climate”. Obviously, it is their Prize and they can give it to anybody.
However, you agree with me you have really won a double-edged sword. You have to take a lot of decisions relating to send more soldiers and weapons to Iran and Afghanistan. Being Nobel Peace Prize can become too hard of deciding that kind of questions.
Well, I look forward to hearing from your next political and decisive decisions.
