PREPARING A DISCUSSION IS FUNDAMENTAL:

THIS MUST BE DONE IN TWO DIRECTIONS:

FIRST, YOU NEED TO LEARN NEW VOCABULARY AND EXPRESSIONS THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO USE FOR THE DISCUSSION.
SECONDLY, YOU HAVE TO PREPARE THE TOPIC BY LOOKING UP INFORMATION IN THE INTERNET, BOOKS, ENCYCLOPAEDIAS.
THIS WAY YOU WILL FEEL MUCH MORE CONFIDENT AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL HAVE MUCH MORE TO TALK ABOUT IN THE ORAL SESSION.

FINAL TASK:

HERE IS ONE FINAL TASK THAT YOU MAY DO IN ORDER TO COVER THE FOUR SKILLS YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON WHEN LEARNING A LANGUAGE: LISTENING, READING, SPEAKING AND WRITING.

Write a composition and leave it in the blog as a comment to Session 30, I will edit it in the blog so that everybody can learn from other people´s opinions. Choose one of these two options:
  • 'Social media have changed our way of communicating' Express your opinion
  • Pros and Cons of using Facebook

  1. This world runs, and while it is running, it’s alive. And it runs each time quicker, now we are talking about new technologies and social media but maybe we can forget all about them in just a few months.

Do you remember Messenger or SMS? Just a few years ago it was one of the most important ways of social communication, now Facebook and Whatsapp seem to be the leader but how long? Internet Explorer was the first, followed by Mozilla and now Google Chrome, what will be the next? TV’s, cameras, mobile phones, etc. change every minute.

Consumerism and globalization are teaching us to constantly run and change but this can be very dangerous, as a Spanish proverb says, who much run, stop very soon.

Talking more strictly about the topic, I totally agree with the writing, women and men are different in behaviour in normal life, so it is logic that the way they behave using internet and social media was different too.
