SESSION 8: A SONG
PETER GABRIEL & KATE BUSH: DON´T GIVE UP
Here is an oldie, hope you enjoy it as I do every time I hear it!
Have a look at the lyrics, they are really nice.
'TALK TO LEARN' KEEPS YOU IN CONTACT WITH THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. FOR FORMER STUDENTS WHO HAVE PASSED ADVANCED LEVEL AT THE EOI AND HAVE NO OTHER WAY TO CONTINUE PRACTISING THEIR ENGLISH OR FOR STUDENTS WHO LEFT SCHOOL IN THEIR LAST YEAR AND ARE NOT STUDYING ENGLISH AT THE MOMENT.
WE ARE WHAT WE EAT? Since time immemorial to nowadays, that question has been done millions of times by millions of people. We are convinced of there is a connection between both things but nobody has still proved.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, in a chemical aspect it seems obvious that it might be like this. For example, if we eat some food rich in calcium, our body increases its calcium level. In addition to that, if we don’t eat enough iron in our dietary habits, it could become dangerous to health.
On the other hand, each person is different from everybody, and food doesn't agree with people in the same way. For instance, due to the metabolism of each of us, there are people who use completely everything they eat, but there are people who put on weight eating only a few every day.
In conclusion, I believe that we are what we eat in general, despite of some cases, but the exception proves the rule, and if we are careful with our dietary habits, sooner or later, our body and our mood will be much appreciated.
